Work / Life Services

Today’s workforce manages many duties in addition to work such as parenting, personal commitments, household responsibilities, and other tasks that make life demanding. To help ease daily living stresses, Deer Oaks offers a comprehensive suite of work/life services as part of its EAP solution.

Legal

Through Legal Assist, members receive free consultation with a qualified attorney either on the phone or in person. Online support is also available with legal forms, a library of legal articles, and interactive simple will preparation.

Financial

Through Financial Assist, members receive free telephonic consultations with Accredited Financial Counselors. They may assist with a variety of financial questions from credit and debt, to purchasing a home, paying for college or saving for retirement. A full selection of financial articles, tip sheets, financial calculators, credit monitoring and other online tools are also available to help you get the answers you need.

Identity Recovery Assistance

In the case of identity theft, members have access to a free telephone consultation service to help them recover from, and minimize the impact of, a breach of identity. This service reduces time spent repairing compromised credit history, while restoring peace-of-mind.

Child/Elder Care

Our Child and Elder Care Consultants provide practical assistance, information and referrals to members around a wide range of dependent care issues such as selecting a day care center, locating before/after school programs, sick child care, and evaluating nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Referrals are provided to members within 12 business hours for standard cases and within six business hours for urgent cases, representing the industry’s fastest turnaround times.

Daily Living Services

The range of lifestyle issues included under the daily living category is vast. Daily Living Consultants assist individuals with nearly endless resources such as finding care for their pets, personal care, travel, home improvement contractors, education, and managing their day-to-day responsibilities at home, and work.

Our daily living resource is an excellent complement to our EAP services. The same holds true for our dependent care services. In many cases, we find that clients calling for counseling can also benefit from some practical resources to assist them in addressing their personal or professional challenges—and vice versa.

Take the High Road Program

Deer Oaks remains concerned about the safety of its EAP participants and others. Therefore, Deer Oaks reimburses EAP participants for their cab fares in the event that they are incapacitated due to impairment by a substance or extreme emotional condition. This service is available once per year per participant with a maximum reimbursement of $45.00 (excludes tip).
